There are several plugins for using WordPress as an online store. But if you intend to start a store online and can not afford to hire a web designer and coder, there are a lot of free themes you can download and use. I myself have been in that situation for a little while ago and solved it very smoothly by using a free theme. Such themes can be found in this list. I hope you will like it.
